ANTONIO TAMBURRO
click for Limited EditionsANTONIO TAMBURRO - Antonio Tamburro was born in Isernia, Italy and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He then went on to the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. After successful exhibitions throughout Europe, Tamburro had a one-man show entitled "The Juliets of Tamburro" consisting of thirty-seven paintings, exhibited at Juliet's house in Verona. Tamburro is masterful in the use of light, line, and color. He draws the viewer into a world of nostalgia where one creates his own story from the images. Critics consider him as belonging to the movement of Neo-figuration and of realism of existence because of his fragmentary composition of the spaces, putting the accent on objects and figures. Tamburro's originality consists in revealing that behind apparent reality, there is always a secret reality hiding from inattentive eyes.
